Ever thought of Central Australia as an educational aid?

**We are proud to announce that with the help from previous student groups the Lilla Primary School in Lilla community (10KM from Kings Canyon) has just reopened on January 27th 2011. This enables children from the surrounding communities to go to school and still live on their homeland!! Thank – you to everyone who helped to make this possible.

The Lilla family “would like to invite you to their land. They have been enjoying meeting students and teaching them their traditional ways”.

People from Lilla Community

Remote Tours is an accredited company operating out of Alice Springs that specialises in informative, cultural and educational tours for student groups. Remote Tours are able to offer this rare opportunity for students to visit an Aboriginal community in the Red Centre and learn directly from Indigenous elders about traditional Aboriginal culture.

Our tours ensure that students have a unique educational experience, learning about ancient indigenous cultures, whilst travelling through the diverse landscape of the Northern Territory’s red centre seeing all of the major sites including Uluru!!

Whilst staying with the communities we also include community development works as part of the tour experience. This can make your visit more than just a tour by having the chance to give something back to local communities and assist them with becoming self sustaining in such a remote area.

Our tours include time for reflection and self- development, whilst our passionate guides share their vast knowledge about the land in an entertaining and informative manner.

Remote Tours provide plenty of opportunity for students to interact with the flora and fauna of the desert, sample bush tucker and learn about the ancient geology of the land. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, and with great respect we conduct all tours in an authentic outback manner, sleeping in swags or tents under the great outback sky.

Remote Tours are flexible to your groups needs and can also accommodate most requests. Remote Tours provide safe, enjoyable and informative tours that educate and inspire.

We know that school camps take a lot of organising so we have done all of this for you. Check out some of the other helpful links including: Places We See, Itineraries and Risk Assessments.
