Testimonials

Dear Remote Tours,

Thank – you for the captivating, once in a life-time experience that you hosted this past week. Helping the Lilla Community and learning about their heritage was definitely a highlight. If only everyone could experience what I experienced this week, I believe the world could be a better place. While not only helping to renovate a re-opening school, we were also able to be enchanted by the beautiful Kings Canyon and Uluru. The experience has proved city-life to be dull. I enjoyed every moment that I spent with remote Tours and I hope that they remain, in the distant future, to do the wonderful services they have a reputation for.

Thank – you again,

Dear Remote Tours,

I have just experienced one of the best weeks of my life, surprisingly on camp! Our group saw Uluru and Kata Tjuta and explored around them learning about their cultural importance. We then moved on to Lilla remote aboriginal community. We as a group had the task of painting the unused school and clearing surrounding land in the hope that the school can be opened next year to educate both children and adults in the community. It was very rewarding doing something for people in need. We also visited Kings Canyon – an awesome part of Australia, which was physically challenging. Lastly we partook in cultural activities with the locals such as dot painting, searching for bush tucker etc. I wouldn’t change anything about the camp and I think it has changed my perspective on Life.

To Whom is reading this,

Remote Tours has not only changed my life forever but also my mindset. It has allowed me to further my steps on the path to discovering who I am and what I want to be. Visiting sacred sites, learning indigenous cultures, volunteering, hiking, and swimming, working as a team, reflection time and making new friends has given me some sense of achievement in my life. Something I desperately need at this time. I now have a greater understanding and awareness of our own backyard and it has inspired me to further continue to help out wherever, when ever needed. Thanks to Reg it wouldn’t have happened without you.

Dear Friend,

I’m having a life changing experience. I never imagined a “tour” to be so educational nor draw me into the spirit of this country so immensely. As with any great journey Remote Tours has left me with a sense of pride in my land and our people and left me with more questions than answers. My 24th Birthday was the best so far.

“Spending time in the Outback with Remote Tours is the perfect "circuit breaker" to our busy city lives.

The Spiritual Tour was an unforgettable experience for me to catch my breath and really have time to sit and ponder whilst among some of the most spectacular and spiritual sites in Australia. We had the opportunity to meet with the traditional owners of the land and hear about their way of life thanks to our tour operators Ringer and Reg. I came away with a real sense of perspective and calmness not to mention a greater understanding and appreciation of the Outback and all it has to offer.

Ringer, our guide for the Tour is the ultimate tour guide. He can cook, play guitar, be a big kid when it suits and even meditate! I can't wait to go again (nor can my teenage kids who say I was so "chilled " when I returned.)

“My family of 5 have now enjoyed 3 week long tours in the past 3 years with Remote Tours our first to Alice/Western Macs/Uluru/Kings Canyon led by owner Reg Ramsden, our second to Kakadu led by Reg and Ringer (aka Scott O'Brian) and our third led by Ringer from Alice to Darwin.

For Sydneysiders, we have had such a fun and memorable experience in the Red Centre and Top End given to us by Remote that we are already planning next years’ trip. The boys do and know it all from camp set up, wonderful bush cooking, searching for (and finding) bush tucker, staying on aboriginal land and genuine cultural experiences, to locations and access to actually remote areas not available to others. They are tireless, knowledgeable people who work hard to provide you with a wonderful camping experience in the wonderful Northern Territory. I could not recommend them highly enough!

Dear Reg and Ringer – Jim and I can’t express enough what a fantastic trip we had with Remote Tours at Alice Springs. We feel very fortunate to have made your acquaintance and have told many people about you since. It was out 1st time to the desert and what an experience it was! I think that what made it extra special was our wonderful guide – Ringer. He is so knowledgeable about the land and culture which gave us a greater understanding of our country. We also had fun and some good laughs! It was definitely a memorable day which we have you to thank for.

Hopefully we will be back next year for another trip with you.

Many thanks again

Remote Tours.

Our family has now experienced three wonderful trips with Remote Tours. We wanted our boys to see the heart of Australia and appreciate the unique character of the outback. Travelling with Remote Tours, we got so much more than we had ever hoped for.

As inexperienced campers, we did not quite know what to expect on our first trip. Swags, camp ovens were all foreign to us. Yet after a brief initiation, we were converted & slept like babies in our swags, under the stars, rather than in a tent. I never thought I would be saying this, but showering or even changing daily become unimportant, as you quickly become absorbed by the Territory.

Reg and Ringer are multi-talented guides who seem to make everything happen so easily. They are real Aussie treasures and so passionate about the outback. Having lived there for many years, with so much local knowledge & contacts, they are able to organise and show us many things that others could not. They have a great sense of adventure, big hearts and are great fun. After action packed days, they somehow effortlessly produce superb meals and then entertain us around the campfire.

The more time we spend with Reg and Ringer, the more we love it and want to return. The only way I am able to say goodbye and let go at the end of each trip, is knowing that plans are underway for yet another unique Remote experience.
